Kenya Army Kills 36 Al-Shabaab Militants in CT-Ops at Fafadun Somalia

Kenya Army (KDF) overcame an ambush in Fafadun after over 100 heavily armed militants from the Somali terror group Al-Shabaab attacked their mobile patrol-surveillance and reconaisance (MPSR’s) units in Somalia.

In an ambush gone sour, 36 Militants were killed in the counter-ambush attack by Kenya Defense Forces units in Somalia.

Military Intelligence battel damage assessment (BDA) reports show that at around 10.00am East African Time, a Kenya Army SR party was ambushed after it began its surveillance and recon mission outside Fafadun.

The SR unit was well equipped and armed to counter an ambush. Al-Shabaab militants fired rocket propelled grenades at the units APC’s.

Kenya Army SR unit activated a counter attack and was given air-support by the 50th Air-Carvarly battallion Z-9WE gunship attack helicopter.

The army Counter-attack left 36 Al-Shabaab militants while others escaped with gunshot wounds.

    We only hear/see Al Shabaab deaths but not injuries sustained by KDF, why? are Al shabaab that simple to kill? AU recently admitted that 50 AU soldiers were killed by Al shaabab. I guess KDF solders (death) are smuggled into the country without any info reaching the public.
