11 Somali militants were killed by the Kenya Defense Forces in Dhobley area in Southern Somalia on Friday night
3 soldiers from the Interim Juba Administration were killed by the militants who attacked an army base under the IJA Forces.
Kenya Army was called in to reinforce Ahmed Madobe’s Juba Administration forces who had been attacked by Al Shabaab terrorists.
Heavily armed Al Shabaab terrorists attacked Dhobley town which lies near the Kenyan border from different directions.
The objective of the terrorists was to attack the Jubbaland Administration forces and kill as many of them as possible.
Jubbaland Forces who work closely with the Kenya army called in the Kenya Army to reinforce their defenses.
Military Intelligence reports that Al Shabaab had cut down trees and used the tree logs to block road access to the theater. The objective was to block the Kenya army from accessing the theater.
A Mechanized battalion of the Kenya Defense Forces breached the Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement barricades killing 11 terror combatants.
