Al-Shabaab terror group militants lost 19 when they attempted a weekend attack on a Kenya army and SNA base outside Badhadhe town in Gedo region of Southern Somalia.
An initial battle damage assessment (BDA) shows that the Somali terror group Harakat Shabaab Mujahideen fired rocket propelled grenades and mortars at the KDF & SNA encampment in Badhadhe.
KDF scrambled mobile artillery units and machine gunners, deployed, and quickly countered the attack.
In the counter ambush operation, up to 19 terrorists out of an estimated 200 were killed. Many others escaped with injuries.
Al-Shabaab conducts ambushes on AMISOM convoys and bases using large numbers of militants in attempts to outgun and outnumber gunners so as to overran the bases. These guerrilla tactics have always been effectively countered by the Kenya Defense Forces.
Let them wait for the feedback from al-shaabab. They will plan to kill 190 kenyans.
