Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) conducted airstrikes targeting Al-Shabaab terrorist’s makeshift camps in Beled-Hawo, Gedo region, Somalia.
Acting on HUMINT that Al-Shabaab have resulted to hiding into local residents houses close their small camps near Beled-Hawo town ( the same way they were hiding in El-adde), and have been launching RPGs from there, KDF raided the perceived targets killing more 60 militants and destroying their terrorism hardware and related machinery.
KDF precision airstrikes struck approximately six targets including trucks and technical’s (pickups with mounted machineguns).
Kenyan forces have increased operations after a botched attack targeting Mangai KDF military camp in Baure, Lamu.
During the Tuesday evening attack KDF killed four Al-Shabaab militants linked to the Boni forest Jaysh Ayman cell.
