Kenya bomb experts drawn from the police service at around 4.00-pm (1600hrs) destroyed and IED intercepted from a man aged below 50 years inside a newly opened mall ‘The Garden City Mall’ along Thika Super Highway in the capital Nairobi.
3 Terror suspects are in police custody after mall security officers intercepted one of them during a terrorists dry run at the Garden City Mall in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.
The man who security guards report was behaving suspiciously was found in possession of an improvised explosive device (IED) at the entrance of the mall.
Nairobi’s Kasarani divisional police commander Robin Mboloi said the suspect was frisked during the screening and the IED was found in him.
Terrorists often conduct dry-runs as the final stage of planning a terror attack.
