Uganda Preempts Terror Attack Targeting Luzira Prison

Uganda police have preempted another terror attack, this time, one which targeted the large Luzira prison holding 8 terrorists.

A call that was made from a Ugandan Al-Shabaab cell to an Al-Qaeda cell in the Islamic Maghreb.

The caller sought help on strategy and resources to bomb the Luzira prison thus facilitate the prison break of 8 terrorists involved in bombings in Uganda.

Al-Qaeda would have either offered technical capability to back up current cell to bomb Luzira Prisons thus create or orchestrate events that would help free eight terror suspects in remand in connection with the July 11, 2010 Kampala twin bombings.

Al-Shabaab seeks to bomb the prison with the principal objective being breaking out terrorist who bombed Kyadondo Rugby Grounds on Jinja Road and the Ethiopian Village Restaurant in Kabalagala and killed 84 people.

The terrorists who Al-Shabaab seeks help to break out are are Omar Awadh Omar, Hussein Hassan Agade, Mohamed Adan Abdow, Idris Magondu, Mohammad Hamid Suleiman, Yahya Suleiman, Mbuthia and Habib Suleiman Njoroge from Kenya and Tanzania.
