U.S Forces, SNA Raid Darusalam area in Lower Shabelle, Kill Al-Shabaab Regional Commander

U.S forces in joint operation with Somali National Army troops (SNA) conducted anti-terror raid in Darusalam area in Lower Shabelle and killed Al-Shabaab regional commander.

The joint intelligence-led offensive against Al-Shabaab extremist saw the militant commander identified as Moalim Osman Abdalla Badil felled in the U.S-Somali commando operation in Darusalam, about 60 kilometers west of capital, Mogadishu.

Confirming on successful anti-terror raid, Somalia's Information Minister said Lower Shabelle regional leader Moalin Osman Abdi Badil and three associates were killed Friday in Bariire village west of the capital, Mogadishu.
Abdi Badil’s terror unit has been responsible for the recent attacks on U.S and AMISOM forces in Somalia.

There was no immediate comment from the extremist group.
