Suspected Al-Shabaab Operative Arrested after Grenade Attack Jowhar in Somalia

A suspected Al-Shabaab operative was arrested after hand grenade attack in Jowhar town of South Somalia.

The attack that happened on Sunday night left two civilians killed and others injured.

According to security officials in Jowhar, a town located some 90 kilometers from Somali capital Mogadishu, the attackers were targeting the home of Musa an elder who recently took part in the concluded electoral process.  

After the attack a security operation followed in which a suspected Al-Shabaab operative was arrested security officials said on Monday.

Jowhar, an agricultural-rich town north of Somalia capital, Mogadishu is under control of Somalia troops, along with African Union forces from Uganda and Burundi.
