Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud Lauds Government Forces for CT-Operations against Islamists Al-Shabaab

Xasan-2-696x464The president of the federal government of Somalia lauded Somali forces for their counter-terrorism operations stemming down the Islamist group Al-Shabaab.

President Hassan noted, SNA backed by AU peacekeepers (AMISOM) have successfully thwarted would-be major attacks especially in Mogadishu.

The allied forces joint operations from house to house of suspected militant’s houses have seen militant fighters being flushed and weapons including IED making materials recovered in several operations carried out in militant hotspots.

NISA has also been on the frontline in battling the extremist group. Early this week, the spy security officers have seized several vehicles laden with explosives after operations in Mogadishu.

The president pledged support from the government in ensuring the common enemy of Somalia and her people is defeated.
