Somali Forces Launch Counter-terror Operations against Shebab Terrorists in Southern Somalia

Somali Forces launched a counter-terror operations against the Islamist terror group Al-Shabaab in southern Somalia.

According to SNA forces Commander General Abdullahi Ali Anod, the forces aims at completely annihilating the enemy and pacifying the remaining areas in southern Somalia.

General Anod also urged the people to cooperate with the army to eliminate the militants.

The Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab have been fighting to topple the Western backed Federal government of Somalia for years.

Last month, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo declared an offensive against Al-Shabab.

Meanwhile, the month of Ramadan will begin next week, SNA and AMISOM remains alert as the militants always increase its terror attacks during the holy month.
