SNA Repulsed 50 Al-Shabaab Combatants in Attempted Raid on Lanta Buro Military Base.

Fierce fighting erupted between a group of Islamist terrorists Al-Shabaab and Somali National Army (SNA) in Lower Shabelle whereby over dozen terrorists were felled.

About 50 Al-Shabaab combatants attempted to lay siege on SNA military base in Base Lanta on Monday night but were met with fierce resistance.

Corresponding OSINT reports indicate heavy artillery fire was heard in a siege that lasted for several hours.

As part of psychological warfare, humiliated Shebab terrorist group through their spokesman announced they had overrun a military base belonging to the government troops and killed a number of soldiers. SNA soldiers present at Lanta Buro Military Base have all been accounted for, SNA sources later confirmed, though about seven suffered injuries.

Despite being pushed out of Somalia’s major cities and towns, Al-Shabaab continues to launch deadly guerrilla attacks across the Horn of Africa country.
