SNA Forces Foil IED Attack at Sinka Dheere Area

SNA forces reportedly managed to foil an IED attack on Monday morning which Al-Shabaab operatives had buried along the MSR that connects Mogadishu to Afgoi district in particular at the Sinka Dheere area.

The security forces bomb expert teams succeeded in unearthing and defusing the IEDs. The operation was prompted following tip-off by locals who alerted the security forces.

The forces managed to detonate all the IEDs successfully without causing any casualty.

Sakariye Abdullahi who is among the officials of Kaxda district in Banadir region confirmed on the operation to the national media (SONNA) saying the security forces dismantled the landmine and the movement of the vehicles between Mogadishu and Afgoi district is now back to normal.

The security forces continues to intensify anti-terror operation efforts to thwart everything that risks the stability in Mogadishu and orchestrated by Al-Shabaab.
