SNA, END-Ethiopian Forces Clash with Al-Shabaab Fighters in Gedo Region

Allied forces in Somalia (SNA and ENDF-Ethiopian forces) reportedly clashed with fighters from the Islamist Al-Shabaab terrorists in Gedo region.

Several Al-Shabaab militants however were felled and several others were wounded in a fierce fight with Somali army soldiers backed by ENDF-Ethiopian troops.

Military sources reports that the battle erupted after the Al-Shabaab attacked the allied forces when they were clearing IEDs near Birta Dheer area.

A-Shabaab fighters were however successfully repulsed and suffered a grave loss during the clash that occurred in the outskirts of Garbaharey, the regional capital of Gedo region, in southwest of Somalia.
