Senior Al-Shabaab Commander Surrender to Somali Government Troops in Beledweyne Town

A senior Al-Shabaab commander handed himself up to Somali Government troops in Beledweyne town.

Corresponding OSINT reports indicate that the militant was a commander of an Al-Shabaab unit that has been conducting attacks in Hiiraan region, central Somalia.

The terror figure was identified as Bishar Muumin. According to SNA officials, Muumin is expected to give them vital intelligence on Al-Shabaab operations in the region citing he was an important figure in Al-Shabaab in central Somalia.

Senior SNA commander Taredishe noted the defected terrorist commander surrendered with his two AK47 rifles among other ammunition.
