Roadside IED Hits Puntland Military Vehicle in Galgala Mountains


A roadside Improvised Explosive Device (IED) has hit a military vehicle carrying Puntland forces according to latest Somalia media sources.

Tuesday incident happened in an area between Mountains and Bosaso town of Bari region.

This roadside bomb targeting Puntland forces at a time the forces were advancing towards the coastal town of Qandala to fight the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists who who according to Open Sources, the town is still under their control.

No details has been reported on possible casualties.

The coastal town of Qandala is the first town Mumin's fighters took since emerging as a rival force to Al-Shabaab a year ago.

OSINT reports from local residents in villages along the road to Qandala said Mumin's men planted numerous bombs along the route.
