Police Gun Down 5 Thugs in Nairobi, Recover 4 Pistols

1280120Police on Wednesday gunned down five notorious thug in Nairobi and recovered four guns. The five was gunned in separate incidents.

In the first incident, two thugs were gunned down at Westlands, Nairobi after they confronted

A police officer got seriously injured during the shoot out on General Mathenge road. The officer was shot on the pelvis and was rushed to hospital. Police report say he is now in a stable condition.

Police report say the two were part of a four-man notorious gang that had tried to gain entry into a home in the area.

Police recovered two pistols from the slain thugs. Among the killed was a 51 year man who the police said is wanted over a series of robberies in Nairobi city.

901665_1In second incident, police gunned down two thugs who were trying to rob an M-pesa shop in Kayole. Two pistols were also recovered.

In the third case, a suspect was shot dead on Juja road following an attempted mugging.

Police warned public that criminals are taking advantage of the festive season to perpetrate attacks.
