Police Arrest 13 Suspected Members of Criminal Gang Terrorizing Likoni

Police in Likoni Mombasa County are holding 13 suspected members of criminal gang terrorizing residents.

Police in well-coordinated operation arrested the assailants in the Celtel area and recovered several machetes, hammers and knives.

Likoni police boss Willy Simba confirmed on the arrests saying the suspects were from the outlawed Watalia criminal gang.

The suspects were arrested on Sunday at 4 am Sunday morning following a tip of from the members of the public.

Watalia gang members is part of criminal gang of wakalikwanza and wakali wao who controlled some parts of Likoni area.

Police identified the suspects as Juma Mdoe, Ali Ramadhan Bakari Said Steve jimmy ,Chengo Fred Mulanda,Omar Hamisi Ali Mohammed,Elnino Musembi,Ali Kalumbe,Ali George.
