Nine Terrorists killed in Fierce Shootout in Egypt’s Sharqiya

Nine terrorists were killed in Egypt’s Sharqiya governorate during a shootout with the police.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the terrorists were hiding in a farm in El Salheya El Gedida in Sharqiya where they trained on using weapons and planned their terrorist operations in North Sinai.

The terrorists were also involved in planting explosive devices and targeting security locations and military vehicles in the North Sinai province. Their attacks killed and injured a number of policemen.

Security forces raided their hideout at dawn and a shootout ensued when terrorists opened fire. Nine terrorist were thus killed. Automatic machine guns and ammunition were found in their possession.
