Nigerian Army Kill 6 Boko Haram Insurgents in Borno State

Nigerian Army killed six Boko Haram insurgents during a battle in Borno State.

In a statement from the army spokesman, Brigadier General Sani Usman, the troops in an operation raided Boko Haram hideouts in Damboa locality, Borno State, killed six insurgents. The army also suffered casualties with three soldiers succumbing from injuries.

Usman said during the encounter, the troops neutralized large number of terrorists and wounded several others.

Recovered items which include 9 AK-47 rifles, 3 Fabrique Nationale rifles, 2 Rocket Propelled Grenade Bombs (RPGs), 1 Mortar Tube, 1 Shilka, 1 truck mounted with anti-aircraft Gun and 2 Hilux vehicles.
