Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa has warned of Lamu politicians funding Al-Shabaab terrorists and subsequent attacks in the County.
In the past two weeks, several people including security officers have perished from attacks perpetrated by Al-Shabaab terrorists in various parts of Lamu County.
Notably, a senior government official was attack on Thursday last week by the Islamists Al-Shabaab.

Marwa noted no Lamu politician has openly condemned the attack the he said are aimed at creating insecurity so some section of locals would flee and fail to vote in the forthcoming elections.
Marwa said the recent terror incidents in Poromoko, Pandanguo, Jima and at Milihoi were merely political strategies by those who plan to scare voters from participating in the General Election.
Meanwhile, the Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson emphasized that airstrikes in Boni forest will continue irrespective of who is inside the forest.
Marwa warned those against bombing of the Boni forest saying they should come clean why the operation against terrorists hiding and operating from the forest should not continue.
