Kenya Police Gun Down Robbers in Botched Robbery in Mlolongo


Wednesday, June 8, 2016, Police gunned down six criminal thugs in a botched robbery at a factory in Mlolongo area, Mombasa road (Machakos County)

According to initial police report, the gangsters broke into African Cotton Company through a hole believed they had drilled on the wall.

Police responded before the thugs in the factory could escape killing all six. Police seized some crude weapons from the gang, including machetes and shovels. A laptop, a desktop computer and CCTV cameras were also recovered.

Six of their accomplices said to have escaped on foot some with gun wounds. Police are hunting them down.

The bodies of the robbers have been taken to City Mortuary, Nairobi.

Police in Nairobi and its surrounding have been responding to criminal activities once alerted. On April 21, Police shot dead a gunman wanted for harassing motorist along Uhuru highway, Nairobi.

Gangsters trying to rob a bank in Westlands Nairobi were also gunned down sometimes in April as well as other 10 criminals shot dead in Nairobi industrial area.
