Kenya Defence Force Dump Chinese Trucks for Leyland

The Kenya defense forces have acquired a large fleet of Leyland military transport vehicles military sources confirmed.

A large fleet of new Leyland trucks have been acquired and delivered to strategic military facilities including Kahawa Barracks in Nairobi.

Chinese made Steyr army trucks have been blacklisted by the KDF after the army lost soldiers in the recent past.

Steyr army trucks are powerful and reliable but Kenya defense officials claim they are not stable when driven at average speed.

Ashok Leyland recently went into armored military vehicle manufacturing with Kenya being one of its main markets.
