KDF & U.S-SF Take Badhadhe from Al-Shabaab

Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) backed by US- Special Forces on Tuesday reportedly recaptured the strategic coastal town of Badhadhe from Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab following a deadly offensive.

Correspond reports from Residents of Badhadhe and referenced by open sources in Somalia say that KDF soldiers and foreign forces backed by armored vehicles poured into the town early hours on Tuesday forcing Al-Shabaab to flee.

However, at least 7militants were killed in the morning offensive, while several fled nursing gun wounds. 8 AK 47 rifles and ammunition recovered.

Humiliated Al-Shabaab has not commented on the surprise offensive.
