A Makeshift Al-Shabaab Camp Destroyed by KDF Fighter Jets in Gedo Region, Somalia
Friday, 28th October 2016, Kenyan defense forces (KDF) fighter jets reportedly conducted air assaults on an Al-Shabaab camp near Badheere town in Gedo region of Somalia.

KDF military jets launched the aerial bombardments against the militant’s base shortly after Al-Shabaab fighters attempted to stage an attack on army bases in Ali Hared area, approximately about 20Km away from Juungal district.

Juungal is a strategic town that was on Wednesday retaken by Somali forces backed by AMISOM forces from Al-Shabaab terrorists after a deadly firefight that left several militants killed and two soldiers.

Military sources are yet to confirm official BDA following the aerial sorties against the Al Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab though sketchy reports from local residents say several militants have been felled and camp destroyed in the morning strikes by KDF.
