Gen Katumba Wamala Hands over to Gen Muhoozi, the New UPDF Chief

Gen. Katumba Wamala has handed over office to the new Chief of Defence Forces, Gen David Muhoozi, at the ministry of defence in Kampala following the recent top military appointment by President Museveni.

Gen Elly Tumwine presided over handover the ceremony witnessed by other senior army officers and ministry of defence permanent secretary Rosette Byengoma.

The Commander in Chief of the armed forces, Gen Yoweri Museveni last week made changes to the structures of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), promoting officers and transferring senior army officers to new positions.
