At least four PKK terrorists were killed in an air raid conducted Tuesday evening as part of the ongoing anti-terror operations in eastern and southeastern Turkey.
According to Turkish military source, the air operation was conducted in eastern Bingol province's Genc district, and southeastern Diyarbakir province's Lice district.
The successful raid that was supporting the ground troops also saw security forces seize several weapons, including 36 pistol cartridges, 350 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, and various equipment used in making improvised explosives (IEDs).
The forces also recovered135 kilograms of marijuana from of the militant’s shelter.
One person suspected of aiding and abetting the PKK was also arrested.
PKK is a listed terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU.
Since the militant group resumed its campaigns in July 2015, more than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives while over 8,000 of its fighters have also been neutralized in Turkish offensives.
