Egypt Promises Increased Support And Cooperation To Somalia To Combat Terrorism And Extremism

Egypt’s President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has stressed its firm stance towards the unity of the Somali’s territories and its sovereignty in a lengthy conversation with his Somali counterpart. The two sides discussed in depth means to enhance their joint ties especially regarding the fight against terrorism and radical extremisms.

The conversation also highlighted the need for mutual and bilateral cooperation between the two nations in ensuring that the latest developments are maintained and that efforts to restore security and stability are in line with the goals and best interests of the Somali citizenry.

Al-Sisi said that his nation would accord Somalia or the possible help to make sure that their common interests of defeating terrorists and curbing extremism are achieved while strengthening the unique relations the two countries enjoy.
