Defiant Al-Shabaab Woman Quizzed By NISA Detectives

A defiant Woman arrested by NISA detectives in Mogadishu on Saturday 25/2/2017 at last confessed that she has been an Al-Shabaab member.

The woman identified as Leyla Omar Baruud hails from El Dheere in Galgudud about 500 kilometers from Mogadishu.

The woman at first when quizzed had refused to cooperate but later confessed that she almost on her final stage, where she was to be used by the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab as suicide bomber.

Leyla who confessed in the presence Somali media also revealed of undergoing a complete military training in an Al-Shabaab camp in El Dheere town.

Radicalized and brainwashed, Leyla said she believes in the ideology taught by Al-Shabaab and accused the government of failing to apply strict version of The Islamic Shariah.

Leyla Omar Baruud who remains under police custody as her probe for more leads continues, referred the government leaders as apostates.
