Burkina Faso Security Forces Dismantles an Al-Qaeda linked Recruiters Cell

Burkina Faso Security Forces have successfully dismantled an Al-Qaeda linked cell recruiting people.

According to report reference by AP news agency, Burkina Faso forces are still pursuing three other Al Qaeda militants who are nationals from the country.

The forces shot dead one militant who attempted to exchange fire with the forces corresponding reports from the public revealed.

In January this year, Burkina Faso suffered a terrorist attack on a hotel in Ouagadougou that claimed the lives of at least 30 people.

The country has become a target for terrorist organizations operating in West Africa making it a new front-line in the fight against jihadists.

Burkina Faso shares its western border with Mali, whose lawless desert north serves as a base for range of secular militias, al Qaeda-linked groups and a new body Boko Haram which pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.
