Bonny Khalwale Win in Ikolomani Shocks ODM as its Popularity Wanes

Bonny Khalwale has won the Ikolomani by election beating ODM’s candidate Bernard Shinali.

Bonny Khalwale the bull fighter is a medical doctor who has immense influence in the Luhya politics, points out our expert political analyst.

His win was more of expected across the PNU side of the government and political wing though he had advised the community against voting for Uhuru Kenyatta, the most probable candidate in 2012 elections.

Uhuru is assured of a win against Mr Odinga whose clout politically and lack of a clear political agenda continues to lose grasp of the Kenyan politics.

According to geopolitcs experts, Mr Odinga used his might and mellow at Ikolomani and the assumption was that he could easily influence voters to tip his man Shinali.

Unfortunately, Raila Odinga is no longer very appealing across the local politics since he was tainted as a turncoat for selling his own to the Americans who have worked hard to get the ICC to prosecute Uhuru Kenyatta.

Khalwale’s win is a sign of how the Kenya politics are tilting. The win further shapes the 2012 political landscape and future.

Bonny Khalwale garnered 13,000 votes against 10,000
