At least seven innocent Somalis were wounded including one government official when a bomb exploded at a busy café southwestern Somalia.
Confirming of the heinous act of terrorism, Isak Abdi Mohamed, district commissioner of the town of Qasahdhere in the Bay region, noted that the bomb was targeting local officials who frequent at the café.
The district commissioner however confirmed that seven people were injured from the explosion and fortunately no one was killed.
The attack took place around 2:30 local time (1100GMT). Government forces following leads on the perpetrators.
Qasahdhere town has been under siege by Somali-based terrorists’ group Al-Shabaab since the Somali government retook the district from the terrorist group back in 2012.
