Army Men Stable After IED Attack on MT-Truck

3 Kenya Army infantry men are recovering after sustaing minor soft-tissue injuries on Sunday when an improvised explosive devise destroyed their military transport truck.

Terrorists planted the roadside bomb at Milimani area along the Baragoni-Kiunga road targeting a convoy of 5 military transport trucks headed to Ras-Kamboni an area inside Somalia.

The incident took place on Sunday at 11.35hrs East African time at Milimani area along the Baragoni-Kiunga road, Lamu County of Kenya.

Kenya Army is conducting a special forces operation along the border with Somalia targeting elements of the Somali based terror group Al Shabaab believed to be operating along the border.
