AMISOM Take Back Leego Base, Burundi Soldiers MIA

terror camps (2)Somali National Army (SNA) backed by AMISOM troops have captured Leego base from Harakat Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement in Somalia.

The terror group withdrew from Leego base and the AMISOM troops moved in, intelligence reports show.

There was no fighting, the militants withdrew and the troops took over the area.

The terror group attacked the base on Thursday killing many Burundi soldiers and taking others hostage.

A deputy district commissioner of the region was killed by the militants after he was kidnapped.
