AMISOM, SNA troops Arrest Al-Shabaab Commander in Somalia’s Wanlaweyn

African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and Somali troops captured a senior Al-Shabaab commander amid an operation in Somalia's Wanlaweyn, the mission said Saturday.

AMISOM said the Somali Special Forces supported by the AMISOM troops drew in the militant aggressors bastion in a deadly gun battle that saw the capture of one regional commander who is being cross examined over a progression of dread assaults in the locale.

AMISOM said its forces would seek and neutralize the militants agressors behind a progression of dread assaults in the Horn of Africa country.
