AMISOM Praises Burundi Troop’s Contribution on War on Terror in Somalia

AMISOM has praised Burundi troop’s contribution on war on terror in Somalia.

Lydia Wanyoto, the Deputy AU Special Representative for Somalia said the impact Burundi is making alongside AMISOM force contributing countries has been pivotal and notable.

AMISOM leadership in this regard has commended Burundi’s continue support in the process of stabilizing and restoring peace in Somalia.

Speaking at a meeting with the Burundian Chief of Defence Forces Lt. Gen. Prime Niyongabo, the Deputy AU Special Representative for Somalia praised Burundi for not withdrawing its troops it had earlier intended on the basis of salary delays.

Burundi’s CDF Lt. Gen. Prime Niyongabo is on a working visit to Somalia during which he has visited and interacted with troops at FOB commending their bravery and valor.
