Ruto Heads to The Hague to Meet Ocampo the ICC Prosecutor

Eldoret North MP, William Ruto is headed for the Netherlands to meet the ICC Chief Prosecutor over his involvement in the political violation that engulfed the country in the last general elections.

Ruto is flying along his closest ally Charles Keter, the Belgut MP. Ruto is among the 10 prominent Kenyans who were written to by Luis Moreno Ocampo seeking audience with them over their involvement in the election violence that left more than one thousand people dead and many displaced.

Ruto will be meeting the ICC prosecutor between Thursday and Sunday. The meeting will clarify various issues surrounding  the violence and Ruto’s involvement.

Ruto was adversely mentioned in human rights reports over the violence.

However Ruto’s sudden date with the ICC prosecutor might bring new evidence to the light and most likely pit Prime Minister Raila Odinga after reliable sources quoted Ruto implicating the vocal Premier as the real culprit.

Either Ruto will reveal that Raila Odinga gave instructions to have the Kikuyu community to be punished or implicate the Premier as the General who masterminded the violence that rocked Rift Valley and Nairobi.
