Tullow Oil Twiga 1 Kenya Yields Massive Oil Pay

Twiga 1 Well in Kenya yielded a massive oil pay after Tullow Oil drilled it further to confirm presence of a functional petroleum system in Kenya.

Tullow Oil plc discovered 30 metres of net oil pay at the Twiga South-1 well in Block 13T, which is 22 kilometres north of Ngamia-1 well.

Tullow Oil and Africa Oil will conduct further tests to ascertain if the oil can actually flow through to Ngamia-1 to finally confirm commercial viability of the oil.

Tullow Oil drilled Twiga South-1 to a total depth of 3,250 meters besides successfully logging and sampling the well.

Twiga 1 lies in the Lokichar Basin 22 kilometers away from the Ngamia-1 well which Tullow will resume drilling to connect the petroleum system.
