Meles Zenawi Dies in Brussels Afterl Illness, Ethiopia Mourns

Ethiopian premier and a strong western ally and Kenya, Meles Zenawi has died aged 57 after along illness, officials in the Ethiopian government have confirmed.

Zenawi died in Brussels after a long illness and months of speculation that he was in a life threatening condition in a hospital abroad.

Ethiopian state television announced that the 57-year old leader had died after a long illness in a hospital in Belgiums Brussels.

What caused Meles Zenawi’s death is not known.

However, intelligence reports indicate that Meles Zenawi died of a sudden infection after efforts by doctors to treat him.
