United States Poking Horns in Somalia

August 2 | Posted by David Goldman | Geopolitik, Intelligence News

The United States of America is silently pushing its agenda in Somalia even after playing no role in the peace efforts and military processes that have brought abit of order in the failed state.

Washington is shaping the future of Somalia politics and its pushing for certain terms in the political process, one being their political support to certain presidential aspirants.

Washington is not interested in a president Sharrif re-election and its in direct talks with his government to ensure he does not run for office again.

Intelligence reports confirm that Johnny Carson has warned president Sharif against running for a second term insisting Sharif would not make US happy.

Such meddling will procure negative results, Sharif once served the Islamic Courts Union and he still holds sway besides has connections in the Somali Islamist’s circles.

A forced exit from the political arena certainly does not go down well with president Sharif and he will certainly engage in covert operations that will destabilize the new political system as a mode of protest, which is an obvious reaction.

The United States of America had never had any success in any peace, military, and political efforts in Africa with the Black-Hawk Down shameful outcomes in Somalia drawing its military muscle and political policy on Africa fallible.

Carson expresses in very untypically undiplomatic manner what the real agenda of Sammy is. GoK drives for an inclusive process because this has better prospects of a peaceful Kenya-NFD and LAPSSET. This is what informs the Overall Strategy Development for OLN – a clear rear view awareness of Zoomalian History, and candid ever present acceptance that Zoomaliya will forever be Kenya’s very critically co-joined eastern neighbor. Zoomaliya has unraveled over the past fifty years because of just such exclusive-winner-take-all mambo jumbo. Now, bearing in mind where Sharif sprung from (ICU-2005), and he has been president of TFG this long, it is foolish to expect that sidelining him as a viable prospect. American efforts will only radicalize Sharif further, unless of course GoK should adopt him and ”run” him in direct opposition to the American initiative / plans in a future Zoomaliya
