Erik K. Paulik a northern Massachusetts school bus driver faced DUI charges after he crashed a school bus on a smaller one after he failed to slow down his bus at an intersection.
Police say Mr. Erik Paulik blew the alcohol limit three times higher after he was tested for blood alcohol level.
Paulik’s blood alcohol was 2.7 which health officials in the traffic department charge is more than three times the legal limit.
The police charged Erik Paulik with several counts including operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor, child endangerment while operating under the influence, and failure to slow down while approaching an intersection after the crash.
37-year-old Erik K. Paulik was tailing a smaller school bus which stopped at an intersection only for him to fail to brake leading to his bus ramming on the small bus.
Both buses were carrying passengers but no one was injured.
