Total will explore oil on block L22 offshore in Kenya after it signed a production sharing agreement with the government of Kenya, Intelligence reports confirm.
Total purchased data in the area where block L22 is located and after studying the data showed interest on the block.
Total requested the Ministry of Energy to demarcate block L22 on that area.
Total began serious exploration plans for the block In July 2011, when it signed a heads of agreement with the government to acquire block L22.
