6 Dead In A Botched Al Shabaab Attack On SNA Military Base In Laanta-Buuro

laantaMarch 21, 2016: Somali National Army Troops backed by AMISOM allied troops repelled and pushed out al Shabaab militants in an overnight-early morning incident. The al Shabaab sought to overrun an SNA military base in Laanta Buuro town but overpowered by the government troops who inflicted untold losses as the militants retreated.

The actual number of al Shabaab militants has not yet been released as but the government forces have refuted an exaggerated number of killed soldiers in a propaganda message from the al Shabaab as the claimed responsibility.

Unfortunately at least 6 SNA soldiers were killed in the attack which retaliatory to the heavy casualties suffered by the al Shabaab from the Kenya Defence Forces during the weekend.
