Robbers shot dead by police in Nyali, Mombasa

CRIME BRIEF, March 22, 2016

Three armed gangsters were shot dead by police along links road in Nyali, Mombasa.

Police officers recovered rifles and several rounds of ammunition from the three who were believed to have been on a robbery mission in the area.

According to Kisauni Police Boss, Richard Ngatia, the three were trailed by police officers, cornered and shot on Monday evening.

Crackdown operations in Mombasa County have been intensified with Mombasa County Commander Nelson Marwa firing warning to criminal gangs.

Marwa said that the law enforcers will continue with crackdown operations until criminal groupings such as Wakali Wao, Wakali Kwanza outlawed MRC, terror linked groups and sympathizers among others are eliminated.
