16 PKK Terror Operatives Killed in SE Turkey & North Iraq

At least 16 PKK terror operatives were killed in counter-terrorism operations in northern Iraq and southeastern Turkey on Wednesday evening.

According to the statement issued by the Turkish General Staff, the terrorists were killed in an air raids carried out in northern Iraq as they were planning attack.

Separately, in another operation at the Cukurca district of southeastern Hakkari province, three PKK terrorists were killed after they were spotted by unmanned aerial vehicles, provincial governor’s office said.

PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU — resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
