15 PKK Extremists Killed in Airstrike in Eastern Turkey

f-16At least 15 PKK extremists have been killed in airstrikes in Turkey’s eastern province of Tunceli, Turkish authorities said Friday morning.

According to a statement by Interior Ministry the operation was conducted in the Pulumur district.

Turkish military sources say following intelligence, the operation lasted less than an hour and also successfully destroyed weapon cache and six dynamic extremists’ targets.

The PKK — listed as a terror organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU.

Since its resumed campaigns July last year, more than 700 security forces have been martyred and around 8,000 PKK terrorists have been neutralized in military operations.
