15 Daesh Terrorists Killed in Airstrikes, Shelling in al-Bab Northern Syria

Thursday, 16/2/2017, Turkish conducted dawn airstrikes and shelling killing 15 Daesh terrorists as part of the operation aimed at liberating northern Syrian town of al-Bab.

According to Turkish military sources, a total of 258 identified targets were shelled by Turkish military, destroying some shelters, possible defense positions, and tunnel entries used by Daesh terrorists.

Turkish F-16 fighter jets also pounded 20 Daesh targets running down 15 building used as shelters, two militant’s headquarters, two arsenals and one bomb laden vehicle belonging to the terrorist organization.

The Turkish military continues to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of civilians in the area, the statement added.

Ankara has already vowed that Operation Euphrates Shield will continue in Manbij and Afrin, which are both held by the PKK's Syrian offshoot, the People's Protection Units (YPG), after al-Bab is liberated.
